"Fleshgod Apocalypse was formed in April 2007 and features members of Hour Of Penance, Promaetheus Unbound and T.E.R.. After the release of “Promo ‘07”, recorded and mixed at 16th Cellar Studio by the producer Stefano “Saul” Morabito, the band signed to Neurotic Records. The two tracks contained in the promo were also included in the 4-way split “Da Vinci Death Code” distributed via Spew Records. In early 2008 the band toured in order to make a name for themselves in the Italian and European markets, supporting bands like Behemoth, Origin, Dying Fetus, Hate Eternal, Suffocation, Napalm Death and many more. In May 2008 the band enters again 16th Cellar Studio to record its first full-length album, “Oracles”.
In December 2008 the band decided to part ways with Neurotic Records and ink a deal with Willowtip Records, which released the band's full length debut "Oracles" in 2009.
The band recently updated on their MySpace blog that they just got out of 16th Cellar Studio where they had recorded a new EP entitled "Mafia" which would include five new tracks and a cover of the track "Blinded by Fear" by Swedish Death Metal band At The Gates. The new cover art was done by Marco Hasmann[1]."
